Dave Mihalicz Excavating Ltd.

In spring of 1975 Dave moved to Assiniboia and started working for an excavating company. In 1980 he became partners with Alvin Karst forming Karst & Mihalicz Excavating Ltd. I984 Dave bought the company out and established Dave Mihalicz Excavating Ltd (DME). In 2016 Dave’s daughter Jolene along with the support of her husband Trevor purchased the Company from Dave. Dave has continued mentoring along the way to continue business as usual.

We take pride in serving Saskatchewan and neighboring provinces. As much as we strive for Customer service, Safety is also very important to us, we have our HCSA Safety COR and are ISN compliant. We also carry $5 million Commercial and Pollution Liability.

DME has grown since 1984, Dave started out with 1 dozer, 1 truck and 1 operator plus himself and now the company has a fleet of 11 power units & trailers, 3 Excavators, 2 Dozers (GPS), 1 Backhoe, 2 Skid steers, 2 Packers, and 2 Loaders and employ up to 15 + employees during their busy peaks.
